Would i need this and the 64 bit vista version? I am asking mainly because the 64bit version doesn't include the media player and you have to rely on the wmp11 for playback.

There is no need for these codec packs, ffdshow can decode almost anything. In combination with MPC I haven't encountered any video I couldn't play.

or you can try MPC-HC which has more features and is still being developed: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ (more information here). |

Thanks, too late, already also installed this codec. They seem to work fine together with the 64bit version.
