Hotmail users revolt against new interface
As Microsoft Corp. continues to roll out its redesigned Windows Live Hotmail, angry users are pushing back by complaining online that the new interface is a step backward and the Web-based e-mail service runs slower than before.

This is so silly. the new interface is pretty good. A LOT quicker. The only gripe I have is I can't empty the spam and trash from the main page now.

some people really don't like change, and even if something minor changes they spit the dummy, but when a major change rolls in, then keep them away from the keyboard!

same thing happened with facebook not long ago

I haven't used hotmail for a long time so I don't know how bad it really is, but Yahoo! tried something similar a while ago, but thankfuly left it to the user to decide if they want to use the new one or the "classic" GUI, which IMO is much easier.

If the users tell you a GUI is more difficult/complex and a company that it isn't, I tend to believe the users than the company/developers who built the thing.

Microsoft have finally updated the hotmail interface? I'll re-open an account there then!

Stuff like this shows that some people will moan about anything, change scares people, hence the internet is full of sites that haven't had a facelift in years, lest their users rattle the cage and leave due to it.

I am also one who uses Hotmail for certain online activitys...Perfect for sites like ebay. The main reason due to spam.Seeing as Hotmail don't require verification on acceptence..And that you can sign up with all required fields with Bullshit.

For myself it's the perfect email app where i don't mind receiving spam.To keep My Private email seperate for family & friends.

I also have to say that i like the new look they introduced and i also dont see why some want it reversed.Its nice and easy to use imo.

I guess some people simply do not like change.
