Noncompete clauses can keep tech in check
Apple may have a real fight on its hands if it believes Mark Papermaster is the right man to nurture the iPhone.
In an age where employees move between companies as often as relief pitchers change teams, noncompete agreements seem an outdated concept. But lawyers say the noncompete agreement that Papermaster signed with IBM is serious business that demonstrates how companies are increasingly looking to enforce restrictions on their most important employees, and that could force Apple and IBM to share valuable information to make their argument stick. _________________ Source: Apple Blog (News.com) |

Re: Noncompete clauses can keep tech in check
imo while i can understand some of this... it's also very limiting.
example being is that employee A has brilliant idea, company B doesn't like it, There fore stifles the idea of employee A. Employee A then goes to Company C and present the idea, Company C see great idea and produces Product D, Company B realizes the Employee A's idea was valid and therefore would like Employee A back.
