University to Stop Issuing Email Accounts

I've frequently harped on the fact that quite a few people have little if any common sense. Finally a college has realized what should have been obvious by now: most (all right, virtually all) incoming students have their own digital identities formed before reaching college. And they don't really want, need or use a university-supplied email address.

Wow, not surprisingly, once more, I disagree with Tech-ex. If one chooses to have his email forwared to a private/other email account, fine, but by stopping issuing email accounts to students that are enrolled to the university, it will cause nothing but trouble, to the students. Just wait and see.

I wouldn't enroll to a cheap ass uni that does that.
