Google's Lively to Turn Lifeless

Google opened its own virtual world, Lively, in July. Unfortunately, not everything Google does turns gold. And at the end of the December, Lively will become lifeless.

Too complicated for avatar chat, too basic for a virtual world, AND needing it's own plugin.

Maybe it could have worked as a flash / shockwave or java applet, but I'm sure people are trying to minimize the number of extra plugins.
