Google's Chrome Reaches Version 1.0

Just yesterday it was revealed that Google wanted to move its nascent web browser, Chrome, out of beta and into a full release, soon. Soon apparently meant within 24 hours, as Google today announced that Chrome has exited beta and reached version 1.0.

Well that certainly is a shocker. I guess showing a little initiative never hurt anyone I don't suppose.

It's still pretty buggy. My feeling is they want to make those well-publicized deals with OEMs for bundling, and they won't take a beta browser.

Yes, that could be the reasoning but I believe this will make them get more done quicker if that is their intentions. They need to get the plug-in support out the door soon as well. Good news to say the least in such a short amount of time.
