Intuit backtracks on new TurboTax fees

In response to a customer revolt on the Internet, Intuit has decided to eliminate fees it introduced with TurboTax 2008 that would charge users for preparing multiple returns.

Consumerist broke down the fees and seems that it was all about the "impression" of increased fees when in actually the cost went down in some circumstances.

But loved the idea of mob rule on Amazon ;-)

Same thing happened with Spores. They pissed off the customers so much not only that they left 1 star ratings, but got introduced to the world of Torrents. That was such a bone-headed move by the company, IMO!

Well, after that debacle with Turbotax DRM a few years ago, people have a hair-trigger.
