Amazon UK Accused of Running a Sweatshop Operation

A report in the Sunday Times of London accuses Amazon UK of forcing to employees to work under sweatshop conditions. The report states that Amazon UK is "making its staff work seven days a week and threatening them with the sack if they take time off sick."

I call BS. Temporary job position for the xmas duration. The above times are normal and it is not like the temps' position is under threat, they are out after the xmas perior anyway. Just someone trying to create news where there are none.

When I used to work for Royal Mail, we had some very tough schedules during this period very similar if not tougher than the above. I bet other businesses have to too.
Most of the temps are glad they have this overtime (I know I was both when I was a temp and later).
