One of the simplest pleasures of the holiday season is packing the kids in the minivan with a thermos of hot cocoa and a plate of cookies and driving by a holiday light display.

Geez.

Just say "Christmas" for crying out loud.

If you're going to mention Santa, and not "Fat Holiday Man"... The biggest season of the year that keeps stores from going under, and yet they're afraid to say what season it is for fear of offending anyone.

It's Christmas Tree. Christmas Lights. Santa.
And all of the other Christian gimmicks entwined within the Christmas Season.

It is certainly true that Christmas has become overcommercialized. Also, I await the day when decorations go up after Labor Day.
