Gigabyte plans to launch three 10-inch netbooks in 2Q09
Gigabyte Technology is still optimistic about the potential of the notebook market despite the economic crisis and is planning to launch three 10-inch netbooks in the second quarter this year along with a self-developed 13.3-inch notebook, according to Richard Ma, vice president of the company.
Gigabyte shipped 19 million motherboards in 2008, contributing 80% of the company's overall revenues that year. Although the company's graphics card shipments dropped to 3.3 million units, the segment still remained profitable for the company, Ma noted. ____________ Source: Digitimes |
