Logitech has come a long way since the release of the G15 gamer keyboard some four years ago. After going through one minor revision late last year to rework the keyboard's form factor, the G15 v2 is left relatively unchanged, and it now looks somewhat dated even with all the fan-made apps that take full advantage of the GamePanel LCD. Time has come for a new G-keyboard, and Logitech is going all out with the new G19 Keyboard for Gaming.

The G15 was expensive enough (Which i have) for me this is the best Keyboard i have used.

But the main fault is the usb hub thats onboard..Its limited to what you try to install via the keyboard.

Actually, guys, Logitech is known for having a high suggested retail price, so you may never see it at that price. Maybe initially, but it won't stay there for long.

Logitech, unlike some manufacturers (Toshiba, for one), know that us resellers can't compete when the MSRP they list is exactly what our cost is, so they give us some leeway for pricing/competing.

i can see some places having it for something like $20-$25 below suggested. but from what ive seen so far that is stil to high.

most keyboard hubs (and unpowered hubs )are the same, no high power devices, this AC adaptor is probably the only way to alleviate that (and power that OLED display )

i just need a keyboard that supports antighosting on ALL keys and if possible, has a backlight on keys....

so that leaves, this and the steelseries board.

if this drops in price, ill get it.

The reason the keyboard needs it's own AC adapter is because it functions as a Linux box to run the LCD screen. This should allow the onboard hub to be fully powered, but I haven't found that information yet.

I can't wait to get my hands on one. I want to turn it into an "IPU" (input processing unit) by connecting the G13 and G9x into it's onboard hub and possibly hack the Linux OS to place Setpoint-ish software directly into it's storage space. This just depends on what Logitech has allowed in the communication from/to the board.
