Researcher: Worm infects 1.1M Windows PCs in 24 hours

The computer worm that exploits a months-old Windows bug has infected more than a million PCs in the past 24 hours, a security company said today.

Anyone that got this has no one to blame except themselves.

On reading the whole article it says the MS released a patch in OCTOBER that fixed it. And now 3 months later people are complaining?

Screw'em...I have no sympathy for idiots.

If they would have kept up to date on patches, it would have never touched them.

Problem is the avg. joe hasn't got a clue what he needs to update and what he needs to pres accept on. Every PC and Mac (oh yeas, them to) should undergo a short 4 hour course, explaining what to update, what not to press and what to look out for. Every person can put away 4 hours of time and the course should be refreshed every third or fifth year.

Off course this will not solve EVERYTHING, but it will defiantly give the avg. person pc user a better chance and saving the public for a lot of money, simply because those persons don't have to spend their time and resources on figuring out what's wrong with their computers
