Rotten Reporting on Steve Jobs
For the past six months Steve Jobs has been looking terribly ill. But only this week did Apple finally acknowledge that Jobs isn't doing well, when the company announced that Jobs would take a leave for six months. Some suggest the company has misled investors; shareholder lawsuits seem likely. But how did the company manage to carry on this charade for so long? The sad fact is they had help from the media.

Re: Rotten Reporting on Steve Jobs
Delightful article! I don't mean the sections about Jobs' health--which is something so obvious it doesn't deserve comment. I thought the reporting on how juvenile many reporters are about Apple is right on the mark.

Re: Rotten Reporting on Steve Jobs
Mmm, seems one has encountered the same story a number of times before just with different companies and different issues. There's always someone around for the companies to ride on if they look hard enough. Or if they're lucky there can at times be a few volounteers.
