CoolIT Systems Provides Advanced Liquid Cooling for MAINGEAR Remix Workstation PC

CoolIT Systems announces that MAINGEAR, award-winning builders of high performance custom computers for PC Enthusiasts, will utilize CoolIT’s highly acclaimed Domino Advanced Liquid Cooling to cool the Intel Core i7 processor in its new Remix Workstation PC.

“We designed Remix to achieve the high performance computing demands of today’s creative professional,” remarks Wallace Santos, CEO and Founder of MAINGEAR. “Whether operating a workstation PC in the music studio, video editing room, or at the office, the need for extreme performance at low noise levels remains greater than ever. Effective cooling is a crucial factor in that equation which is why we turned to CoolIT who’s established themselves as industry leader in the category.”

“Creative Professionals, like any PC Enthusiast, rely heavily on the performance and reliability of their workstation’s processor to effectively execute the computing task at hand” remarks Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems. “Domino A.L.C. ensures that the Remix’s Core i7 runs cool and reaches optimal performance.”

Re: CoolIT Systems Provides Advanced Liquid Cooling for MAINGEAR Remix Workstation PC

This looks like a really good application for the Domino and can't wait to see it in action. I received this as well but opted not to post it on submit news as the information is pretty much the same as the MAINGEAR press release.

Cheers on posting it up Mig

Re: CoolIT Systems Provides Advanced Liquid Cooling for MAINGEAR Remix Workstation PC

I'd rather know when the coolit Domino ALC will be released in the uk. I'm sure it was slated for a Jan release but we are now into feb and I see no further news. I'd hate to think all these units are going into pre-built systems.

Re: CoolIT Systems Provides Advanced Liquid Cooling for MAINGEAR Remix Workstation PC

Here's a review of it from back in December.

CoolIT Domino A.L.C. Review - Overclockers Club

Even tho they say it was "impressive" in the conclusion, it was outperformed by most of aircoolers that they tested it against. They may have been impressed, but I sure wouldn't have been.

Might be a bit longer Bro I received this response from Mr. Shumate who handles the North American PR for Coolit.

Hey David,

It’s still kind of up in the air actually. They’re signing on a new company to handle the UK distribution specifically, so hopefully it’ll be pretty soon!

Thanks dude thats great news. At least we haven't been forgotten about. This will be my first foray into water-cooling and i'm really excited, see if I can do anything with this ghastly B3 Q6600. My current cooler keeps it idling at 26c but that jumps into the 50+'s when gaming and slightly warmer when any overclock is applied.

+1 from Lel (erm on the IOU list as it seems i've +'sed you already recently LOL).

I actually am friends with the person who is going to be handling UK distribution shortly. There is no firm date yet, however it is on the cards in the near future.

If you are in a massive rush for one Levi, I suggest you look at a USA dealer who is willing to ship to UK.

It works well Levi and on the Rep well no biggie time I sent one back your way mon amis

I would contact a North American retailer that can ship at a reasonable rate as Zardon mentioned if you want one sooner. If you need any help just hit me up on PM.

I may just do that Zardon, I can't help but feel that after this long long wait coupled with the fact we live in Rip-off Britiain I'd only be disappointed to discover that the price has been massively increased to £100+.

Thankyou very much, im going to see how things are looking financially on payday and I may just be in touch. Not sure how much shipping to the uk would be though.

Thats unless someone can recommend a similar priced alternative that is a simple to fit and performs on par with the coolit. At this rate my introduction to watercooling will be gaming in a cold bath.

Oh and sorry for keep resurrecting an old news story.

On shipping that's the big issue Bro but keep us posted and I will help as I can. There are some NA online vendors that I am sure offer reasonable shipping rates.
