I was wondering what those recently appearing driver packages was all about. I'd give the trial a try for fun but it's only for 32bit so well, I'm glad I won't have to.

Meh. The only reason I use an X-Fi is for hardware acceleration. Their drivers are awful. So taking a weaker audio chip, combine it with the worst drivers out there = complete and utter failure. I'd much rather use the Realtek software/drivers.
