KanguruMicro CF

Kanguru Solutions recently announced the release of a new combined technology - a Compact Flash card reader and USB flash drive in one!

"The KanguruMicro CF combines two of today's hottest storage solutions into one unit. Functioning as both a USB flash drive and Compact Flash and IBM MicroDrive reader, the KanguruMicro CF gives the customer the opportunity to upgrade or increase storage," said Nate Cote, vice president of product management at Kanguru Solutions. "Because of its unique ability to upgrade, the customer is not tied to one capacity and can, for example instantly add as much as 1GB of storage to their USB flash drive by simply inserting a 1GB Compact Flash card."

The new drive, dubbed the KanguruMicro CF, can be plugged into any USB port and is driverless with most operating systems. The KanguruMicro CF will appear as two drives under the "My Computer" icon when inserted into any USB port - thus providing the option of storing data on the drive or on either the Compact Flash card or the IBM MicroDrive.

Starting at $39.95, the KanguruMicro CF fits in the palm of your hand and is available in three capacities including 32MB, 64MB and 128MB. Weighing a mere 20g, the KanguruMicro CF offers plug and play abilities, requires no external power and is driverless with most operating systems including Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems. In addition, standard features of this product include an LED indicator, write protect switch and power support savings mode.

"After the release of our award winning KanguruMicro Drive+ an SD/MMC card reader and USB flash drive in one in November, we received numerous inquiries from Compact Flash users who wanted to see a USB Flash drive that could also read Compact Flash media. Always putting the needs of our customer first, we worked diligently to create this product," said Cote.

A division of Interactive Media Corporation, Kanguru Solutions manufactures high quality, secure and portable computer storage peripherals that have provided consumers with secure back-up solutions for more than a decade. Interactive Media Corp. was established in Massachusetts in 1992. For more information on Kanguru Solutions, visit their web site at www.kanguru.com
