Re: Opera 10 Alpha Gets Its Turbo On
Seems pretty fast to me. Can't wait for the final. And there's spell check automatically installed.

Re: Opera 10 Alpha Gets Its Turbo On
Lol...so true, I love Opera but I try to stick to one browser and switched to FF for Awomo compatibility, actually quite liking it.

Re: Opera 10 Alpha Gets Its Turbo On
I've been stuck on Safari 4 Beta ever since Zardon recommended it on here a couple weeks ago. I never really got in to Opera although I like some of the themes it has.
I still really enjoy Chrome and Firefox as well. So many great browsers out now it's really hard to just pick one and stick with it. Now that I think about it the same goes with my women.

Re: Opera 10 Alpha Gets Its Turbo On
I mostly use Firefox3 because of the add-ons.
Sure the 10th version of Opera would be great, but it's hard to leave the most customizable browser. The Chrome reminds me Opera. Great effort from google. On the other hand i am very interested in trying the latest Safari, because of the last benchmarks. So we have 4 great options (and if we include Minefield for x64, five!). Too hard to choose one for main browser, but if this feature is as great as it sounds "we’ve been working on Opera Turbo, a server-side optimization and compression technology" then i will make a new step in web browsing ![]() For mobile phones it will be a great feature the above ![]() (They only drawback i can think is the more cpu usage because of compression/decompression) --- Well i have just downloaded and tested. The browsing speed is amazing! It's almost two time faster (really)! BUT, a lot of images (with gradient effect the most) are being displayed wrong. The gradient efffect is lost (you can see the scales of the color change). Even the logo on www.google.com is being displayed a bit messy with colors. It's an in alpha stage and all the above will be fixed soon enough ![]() --- The above happens only with turbo mode turned on. So, until now, you have to decide, fast browsing or image quality.
