"Google Mistrials" Become More Common as More Jurors Look to the Web
Recently I wrote that a mistrial may be declared in a civil case because a juror was using Twitter to broadcast trial information while the trial was still underway. I hadn't seen a case like this before that, but the New York Times has found that this sort of "Google Mistrial," as they called it, is becoming more common.
