New iPhone to Have Faster 3G?

A report in the Silicon Alley Insider cites a "plugged-in source in the mobile industry," and states that the next generation iPhone will have faster "Internet" access.

hmm faster web access would be handy if tethering was enabled, but it seems fast enough (for me) for just browsing on the phone

it's not a rumour, it was confirmed in the announcement that the phone would support it, but apparently the carrier has to enable it
