TwiGle: Google takes over Twitter?

Known business investing website released a rumor that Google is going to take over micro-blogging giant Twitter. It looks like the search giant is afraid of the competition in the personal data/interest gathering business...

Make that two exceptions. In any case, I'm not sure if that's a good idea, although it would probably look good next to YouTube on Google's "Great stuff we bought that nobody knows how to make money from" list.

I don't understand people who use twitter, myspace, facebook and all the other simiar **** around. It just yells "issues".

As for Google, they are getting too large too fast, even if the above news is false.

I've got a Facebook account primarily because they made me.

I thought about deleting it a couple of times, but it did help me get back with people from primary school, I use it's messages as a substitute for e-mail (it's likely that people will notice them sooner), I suddenly remember people's birthdays

, I keep track of what my friends are up to (I recently found out on Facebook that a friend I don't see too often is looking for a roommate and I hooked her up with a perspective candidate) and look at (low res) photos after get-togethers. I could do all these things without it, for some of them there are superior specialized services, but it's a nice all-in-one package.

facebook is just another fad like myspace and all the other bs.

i've got an account.... initially out of courosity.

it's interesting..

but twitter and digg..... bleh

I have facebook account because it was the faster way to get some photos from a friend, apart from that (then), I am not even touching the site.

i primarily opened up my myspace account shortly after i crashed my rx8 due to extreme boredom....couldn't drive anywhere w/o asking my parents for permission to drive one of their cars if i needed to go out etc.

now, i just have it because most of my friends have a myspace. very few of them have a facebook. and those that do have a facebook, also have a myspace account.
