Here is a prime example of why California enacted its "no texting while driving" law. Deborah Matis-Engle, 49, was speeding and text messaging when she slammed into vehicles stopped at a construction zone on Aug. 13, 2007. 46-year-old Petra Winn was killed.

refuse the right to appeal and increase the sentance by at least 10 years or even 5 years for every bill she paid when texting

a few more stiffer sentances and maybe people will get the idea
