Move over, notebooks. Netbooks may soon become the personal computer of choice for millions of end users, according Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs. In a Bloomberg interview at the CTIA Wireless Show in Las Vegas, Jacobs predicted the netbook’s rise could happen “relatively quickly,” although he declined to give a specific timeline.

If that happens, i'll be shocked.

Having "TRIED" to use one..... they are the biggest mistake period.

It's like the worst cross between a touch phone/iphone style size and useability and a laptop/notebook.

It's like metric tools when working with imperal equipment. Every bloody thing just isn't quite right period.

The weight isn't quite right for use with a single hand or with both hands (thumbs).... and it's to bloody small to use properly with one or 2 hands (fingers) It's to small for stability to do anything convient..... it's not powerful enough for quite a number of things that even the cheaper notebooks are barely able to do to start with, yet not much more functional then the small gadgets.

They are a toy, best used by children of age 3-6,

ANYONE i know, that has either tried one or played with one all state they look handy and neato... but the ones that have actually used on say that those ideas last for a meer 15 minutes IF that before your ready to take it back and spend the little bit extra for a REAL notebook OR a smaller iphone or similare device.

Frankly i have no interest in a notebook either, it just doesn't have a purpose for me.
