NVIDIA Mobile GPUs Selected by the World's Largest Notebook Manufactur

SINGAPORE ─ NVIDIA Corporation, the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that Quanta, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of notebook PCs, has selected the NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go family of mobile graphics processing units (GPUs) for its new G300 white box model line of desktop replacement notebooks. The GeForce Go mobile GPUs were selected to enhance productivity and entertainment capabilities by providing industry-leading graphics performance, seamless video playback, stable software, and superb power management.

“Quanta has chosen NVIDIA products based upon outstanding graphics performance, and the ease of implementation offered through features such as the NVIDIA Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) and the consistent footprint all NVIDIA mobile GPUs utilize,” said Ted Lu, senior vice president and general manager, Quanta. “By selecting these GPUs, Quanta is able to deliver the cutting edge of entertainment that our customers, white box manufacturers around the world, want to ultimately deliver to end users who demand the best in portable multimedia, gaming, and video.”

“Working with a notebook PC industry-leading company such as Quanta is key to NVIDIA’s mission to push our mobile GPUs top to bottom, through all PC channels,” said K B Ng, Asia Pacific marketing director at NVIDIA. “White box models now account for a significant portion of the notebook market and Quanta is in a position to serve a majority of this market with the new G300 series. The new Quanta G300 white box model series features a variety of NVIDIA mobile graphics solutions including the GeForce FX Go5600 for the performance segment, GeForce FX Go5200 in mainstream systems, and GeForce4 Go for the value segment. The Quanta G300 series is now available to white box vendors worldwide.
