Can 3D save Blu-ray?
Blu-ray’s problem is simple: Blu-ray’s crisper picture isn’t enough for recession-whacked consumers. Yet the demo I saw last week in Las Vegas was something else: beautifully detailed and very watchable high def 3D.

Re: Can 3D save Blu-ray?
while the article is kinda intersting, the title is pretty lame. he is saying that bd is having problems expanding because of the economy. very true, as covers just about everything. his possible 'fix' for bd(& i think that industry is doing fine given the economy) is to have peeps replace their /newfairly new hd tvs & buy the friggin glasses.
yeh that makes sense, spend more money u dont have on a tech that has yet to be standardised. that being said i am looking forward to my next tv upgrade in 2-3 years. 3d will be a single standard by then & should be well developed. meamning i should be able to go from 65" to 75"+ & get a much better picture & great 3d for less than what i paid for my current set. woot!
