Windows XP mode will be a major selling point when Windows 7 is released later this year. And it's the single feature that will make most companies jump at the chance to have Windows 7.

agreed if they go their usual 200 pounds for the all bells all whistles version again i certainly wont be buying it

i understand that piracy is real but you know what if ms charged 50 quid for a copy of windows i reckon that more people would go genuine

One thing I don't know though. Does an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66GHZ have the hardware virtualization that is needed for XP mode to work in Win7?

yes..... yes it does.

but you also have to realize that from what i can tell you have to have a legal copy of windows xp as well....
