The skinny on power management in Windows 7
Microsoft has made energy efficiency a key design element of Windows 7, focusing on better power management for end users and centralized tools for IT pros, company executives said Friday.

doesn't matter.. dell... toshiba.. and so forth will force their own power management system onto you disabling windows version reguardless....

Accessibility would have been nice. Apart from keeping the unfortunate interface for the "advanced" power settings, there is no longer any GUI option to turn hibernation off.
