Windows Codecs Round-Up
Win7codecs 1.1.9 Final
Win7codecs is an audio and video codec package for Windows 7. The installer will automatically remove most other popular codec releases from your computer before installing this concise yet comprehensive package. You won't need to make any adjustments or tweaks to enjoy your media content immediately. Windows Media Player and Media Center will instantly recognize all your files as playable. ____________ Download: Majorgeeks Vista Codec Package 5.3.1 Final Codecs have always been a big problem for the computer users. That's because there has never been a 100% viable working solution available for the average computer user. There are several good codec package solutions out there, but none of them did everything i wanted. I was always in need of a tweak, adjustment, or even a reinstallation just to get the codecs I needed/wanted and most of the time, the file still didn't play. I've never claimed to be a media guru. My media experience is to doubleclick a file i downloaded and hope that it plays. What I do know is how to package software. So I decided to package some codecs and share them with the rest of the world. With this package all possible conflicts are already dealt with. Many user suggested default settings are implemented. ____________ Download: Majorgeeks Vista Codec x64 Components 1.9.0 Final Do you want to watch your favorite video in MediaCenter? These components are tested on Vista Ultimate x64. This release is fully compatible with the 32bit codecs installed by the Vista Codec Package. It is fully uninstallable through the Windows interface. ____________ Download: Majorgeeks Win7x64 Components 1.2.4 Final Win7x64 Components will enable MediaCenter on x64 installations to play all your media files. Windows 7 x64 uses the 32bit player as the system default. The installed components of this release include shortcuts to allow you to change the system's default player between the 32bit and 64bit Windows Media Player(s). ____________ Download: Majorgeeks |

Re: Windows Codecs Round-Up
Anyone tested these? Good results or disaster? I'm having relatively good luck with windows 7, but older quicktime movies wont play -while new ones will, no idea what the difference is....

Re: Windows Codecs Round-Up
I just install combined community codec pack(cccp) beta as I do with winxp and everything works including hardware acceleration. I don't use mediacenter to play my videos.
