Large Hadron Collider restart delayed till October

(AP) -- The world's largest atom smasher will likely be fired up again in October after scientists have carried out tests and put in place further safety measures to prevent a repeat of the faults that sidelined the $10 billion machine shortly after startup last year, the operator said Saturday.

The Large Hadron Collider was meant to restart in late September, but that will probably be pushed back two to three weeks, a spokesman for the European Organization for Nuclear Research said.

We live in a world where humans put kilos of explosives on their body and blow themselves up. A world where humans remove their unborn childrend from inside them and kill them. A world where one has to wake up early in the morning to go in the same fraking boring job, day in day out and doesn't kill himself. A world where people will set themselves on fire to make a point. A world where thousands of us will (well, in the past anyway) gather to kill each other, cut each other out with swords and axes.
The demons and angels better watch out for humans when they come here, they are the ones that should be afraid, not humans.

No, it was nowhere near it's "top gear", the protons were pretty much still on their warm-up laps.
