3 owner Hutchison Whampoa has announced it has taken a stake in current industry darling and streaming music service Spotify. No official figures have been put to the deal, but the company is currently valued at approximately $250m with $50m said to have been invested.

so does this mean that Spotify will be working just fine one minute, then randomly stop for no reason whatsoever only to start working again half an hour later as though nothing was wrong..?? ( < ad infinitum)

It's rarely a good thing when a big company says hey that's a good technology, let's buy it. Now let's see what about if we... Reminds me of the Orange adverts you see in UK cinemas. lol. Now if only someone would buy Twitter and kill it off ha.
