Snow Leopard Apple's most compatible release ever
Mac OS X Snow Leopard has been available for one week, and for the most part, users are reporting very few problems upgrading.
While not everyone is thrilled with the way Apple handled the release, it turns out that Snow Leopard is Apple's most compatible operating system release ever. According to sources familiar with Snow Leopard's internal testing process, Apple kept an enormous amount of statistics on third-party application compatibility. ____________ Source: C|net |

Re: Snow Leopard Apple's most compatible release ever
well apple is honest about Snow Leopard which is nice, and to me yeah windows 7 is a service pack. However, its more of a rebound and over all UI changes are larger in numbers for MS over Snow Leopard. I'm a fan of apple, I am just saying that people need to stop going nuts over them and buying them for cosmetic reasons and ads. Obviously, if a company makes both the hardware and software (or rather design the hardware, the components are the same as a PC nowadays just the outer casing is diff), and doesn't let their software go anywhere else due to restrictions in their EULA, you'd be stupid to not have it work synergestically. Thats my beef with the Mac ads, great computers but if MS did design properiertary everything I'm sure they would be better than their own current products.
If I need a laptop, I'd probably buy a Macbook Pro, great design but I don't think I'd live with Mac OS unless I really needed it. |
