Fellas,
From everything I've read about this (and I've read a LOT and all of the main articles by Ryan Shrout and the responses from THG) it seems to me that the whole issue boils down to whether THG had an 'exclusive' on the news reports from MML2. Specificially, it seems that if there was an exclusive, it pertained mostly (or specifically) to the AMD session.
Now, if THG did, indeed, work out an exclusive agreement with AMD on this, then it's just simply sour grapes from Ryan's part that he has to hold off publishing anything until after THG gets their information up.
From Zardon's posts, that's the situation as I see it. And, there's not one thing wrong with working out exclusives if you've earned the right. It's similar to someone working out an exclusive interview with, say, Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer, or any other well-known interviewer. Once that exclusive interview is broadcast, then it's anyone's right to reference it or even publish their own rightfully owned information.
While some people have a bad taste or opinion about THG, the very fact that they did put a lot into the success of MML2, I see how they might warrant the exclusive report of the event. And, it seems most all of the other media respects that. At least respectable media will do so when it's warranted.
I've not been trying to stir up the dust, but to see through all of it as things settle down some. It's very sad that anything happened that casts a dark cloud over what so many saw as simply a time of excitement and FUN!
