Nvidia announces 3D Blu-ray for 2010

Nvidia has announced that 3D Blu-ray movies will begin appearing in the Summer of 2010.

Ben Berraondo, Nvidia PR manager for the UK and Northern Europe, confirmed that the Blu-ray Association - to which Nvidia is a contributor - had settled on the “proper parameters [for] what constitutes a 3D Blu-ray” and claimed the first 3D Blu-ray films would hit the shelves “towards the end of Summer 2010”.

A bit awkward to wear those 3D glasses over prescription eyeglasses. Even the cardboard 3D glasses included with some 3D titles are a pain.

Re: Nvidia announces 3D Blu-ray for 2010

nVidia has been doing it for about 10 years now. I remember picking up a GeForce card with the 3D glasses that plugged into the back of the graphics card.
I've actually been telling people not to buy TVs lately because the technology is changing. I was so pissed when I found out about the marketing BS behind the 120Hz ad 240Hz advertised on today's TVs. Same with the 600Hz Plasma is BS
