RackSaver's New RS-1100V BladeRackTM System Accommodates Up To 132 Of The New AMD (NYSE: AMD) AthlonTM MP 2100+ processors In A Single 7 Foot Cabinet
RackSaver, a leading provider of high-density rack-mounted computer servers and supercomputer clusters announced its support for the AMDÆ AthlonTM MP 2100+ processor in the new RS-1100V BladeRackTM. The new BladeRackTM line of servers powered by AMD's new AthlonTM MP 2100+ processor will be highly sought after in markets that require high-performance computing power. The Oil & Gas industry, Genomics, entertainment, research and development, education, and government entities are but a few of the group always needing greater computing power in a more dense form factor. RackSaver's BladeRackTM will house up to 66 RS-1100V RackBladesTM, each accommodating a single node featuring two of AMD's just released AthlonTM MP 2100+ processors totaling 132 processors contained in a 7' cabinet. The new BladeRackTM systems feature the most compact, space saving design available. BladeRack's 7' tall 38" deep 24" wide cabinet is the second full production AMD based BladeRackTM supporting 132 AMDÆ AthlonTM MP 2100+ processors. Further separating BladeRackTM from the competition is its proprietary, patent pending cooling subsystem which delivers performance and savings that are simply unavailable elsewhere in the market today. Unlike other vendors' offerings, customers will not, upon closer inspection, find a system that uses a proprietary backplane. Only RackSaver's BladeRack uses "truly" non-proprietary, interchangeable "off the shelf" components. "We're very excited about BladeRackTM for a number of reasons. It is the only system of its kind in the market that can now accommodate 132 AMD Athlon MP 2100+ processors in one seven foot cabinet," said David Driggers, RackSaver CTO & CEO. "Other reasons are its accessibility and scalability. BladeRackTM is a system designed to not only speed a customer's business processes, but also to grow with that customer and their computing needs as they evolve over time." Other BladeRackTM advantages over the competition include its scalable, easily accessible, hot-swap capability, which applies not only to fans and networking equipment, but to the servers themselves, making upgrades and routine service a breeze. Need more power? Simply add another RackBladeTM. These capabilities allow RackSaver's BladeRackTM systems to grow with a customer's business rather than whither and fall victim to obsolescence. if you feel some money burning in your pocket visit their website |
