It may be said that I could be the envy of the AMD3d.com readership. Many of you will no doubt be drooling to see the FX 5900 boards in action in your rigs. There have already been reviews on the net. From the “other” reviews I have read the FX 5900, Nvidia NV35 technology, is a leader.
Do I have the same opinion??? Owning the Asus GeForce 4 4200 deluxe, I was very much looking forward to what this card had to offer. I have always been very satisfied with Asus products. My perfect graphic card would be one that can play present day games at high resolution with FSAA and AF. For example UT2K3 will run at 1600X1200 on budget cards at playable frame rates but as soon as you crank up the AA and AF things get pretty slow. With DOOM 3 just around the corner the discerning gamer is looking for a card that will play this game well and have some life expectancy. Is the Asus FX 5900, (V9950), the card for the job?? As you can see from the title it is not the Ultra version.
