MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, and currently runs 1800+ classic (and even some not so classic) arcade games! MAME now even runs Neo Geo Games! There are two version of MAME:

This is the Windows version of MAME

This is the Windows, Pentium Pro optimized version of MAME

There's also a rather nice Xbox version of MAME for those with modded Xboxen. Of course, all you'll find is source code, since the binaries are made using the "illegal" XDK.

Anyone that can't compile something shouldn't be using an emulator anyways.
