Microsoft develops own virusscanner
Microsoft intends with the take over technology of the Romanian software business GeCad to bring their own virusscanner on the market. Microsoft recognizes with that the inconvenience of viruses (Fizzer and the Palyh worm) in the meanwhile becomes an unmanageablely threat. Even the FBI needed to come in action, after that seems that the newest version of the BugBear-virus traces passwords of financial institutions.
At all that misery must now come to an end, according to Microsoft. The new virusscanner, that takes part of the Trustworty Computing initiative of the softwarecompany, will decrease the inconvenience robust. Or Microsoft is planning to follow the Netscape-scenario, by which oversolded technology will be set-in to compete with the market leader of that market. The scanner will not be taken inside of Windows, but will be offered as stand-alone software. According to a spokesman of Microsoft it is unlikely that the history will repeat itself. took them a while, i think it should be included in windows, but then again, other products are better (if) then we wouldn't need theirs
