Google launches phone interpreter
Berlin - Internet search giant Google unveiled new technology on Tuesday that slowly interprets conversations between two people who do not speak the same language.
The software was demonstrated during a presentation by Eric Schmidt, chief executive of US-based Google, at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin. Speaking in a country where privacy crusaders have attacked his company, Schmidt stressed the democratic benefits for a world where 3 billion to 4 billion people will soon have internet connectivity. _____________ Source: News24

Re: Google launches phone interpreter
Interesting technology, I've heard a bit about it before, but I can't stop wondering how well this will work. Just look at the online translators for text, at best they are bad at translating. I doubt this will even come close to being bad.
