"Nvidia is supposedly releasing a dual-GPU card next month to rival AMD's similar offering.

With aftermarket cooling, this thing should be an overclocking monster... fully fledged GTX580 parts, probably binned above the 580 to allow for lower power consumption...

Power consumption, noise and temperatures will be insane, of course

This will have to be further underclocked than the 6990, judging by the power consumption of the single GPU equivalents.
