Asus removes Prescott compatibility message

AS WE REPORTED in this article, the Asus P4P800 motherboard page had a message that said its power design supported the upcoming Intel Prescott.

But the reader who pointed us to that original link now reports that the same page has had all references to Prescott compatibility removed.

What can this mean? No one from Asus has contacted us to tell us where it stands on future Prescott compatibility and whether it is affected by the same problem that other motherboard makers have reported.

The revised and airbrushed Asus P4P800 page is here. *UPDATE. BUT A READER POINTS out that this Asus page still shows the Asus 865 design supporting Prescotts.
