New Poll: What type of speakers do you use with your PC?

Please vote in the Polling Booth (right-hand side of frontpage).

Do you use; 7.1, 6.1, 5.1, 4.1, 2.1, or stereo speakers?

Personally, I use 2.1.

I have 4 speakers, but they all have a tweater, midrange, and full woofer. I have it running through my Dual Harmon/Kardon amps. Even though this is only a 4.0 system, I'm sure it would kill any X.1 systems out there. I guess I'm asking that the poll be changed to just the number of speakers and not the X.1. Maybe I'm the only person wth a setup like this....... I guess it wouldn't matter then.

I have a four speaker setup- I could use up to 7.1 with my Fort. III 7.1, but I mostly use headphones anyways. Hard to beat the full rang sound and balance of headphones.

head phones for when I play games while the wife is sleeping.....2.1 altec lansing for general stuff......and when I am in a wild mood and no one is home..... a professional multi component rack mounted club system at approximately 2200 watts per side @ 4 ohms....in a 4.2 setup....6 foot stacks in the front (tops/subs) and twin double 15" full range for the rear with the TV out hooked up to my 53" Sony........not only do you see the action.....it FEELS like you are in it. MOHAA on a whole new level

THIS system only has 2.1, I can't be bothered with tripping over wires all around me.

The main system in the house has 4.1's

They're both Altec Lansing iterations.

If we want real surround, we just turn on our big stereo system(Pioneer), it has 7.1 with BIG speakers, not the little dinky satelites. It's 100watts per channel and rocks the building at 1/4 volume. We really only use it when the neighbors THINK they are jammin'. You know, just to shut them up or drown out THEIR noise.

LOL- I was just doing that for 2 hours tonight! With Cerwin vega center & front sats/ JBL Music 1's rear sats + 2 subs -2 separate 7th order enclosures. It's 5.2 setup- 500w x 5 (sats) and 100w x 2 (subs) - Technics reciever, Technics amp for subs. What FUN! I drowned out the distorted excuse for MIDbass coming from upstairs.
