I meant him being shocked by how much personal information was stored. I bet he'll get nightmares when he finds out google does the same. All search queries and whatnot.

That? I have to admit that I'd be pretty shocked myself, I doubt that I would be able to compile a 1222 page document on myself if my life depended on it. Scary thought.

I support his actions. It's the ever progressive creep of corporations and governments monitoring people that needs to be checked and like he says - they employ one tactic and then step back but advance in other ways.

Like when the game publishers started introducing DRM measures. They introduced policies that they knew people would object to. Then they dial it back a bit and people are appeased but they've still advanced their monitoring and intrusion.

It's time people said no.
