Asus denies rumours that they are leaving Android Tablets behind

Just this morning Pete posted an article stating that several PC suppliers including Dell, Acer and Asus are planning to cut back on Android Tablets. This was thought to be caused by competition it cannot match in the form of Apple's iPad and the recently released Kindle Fire. Instead they would look towards the Windows 8 tablet market which should take off late 2012.

Since then Asus spokesman Gary Key has told CNET that "Asus is not exiting the Android Tablet business." Key also went on to say that Digitimes (the original source of this rumour) is often incorrect with reports and rumours
