Doom 3 in March of 2004?

GGmania have a news brief that says that Doom 3 will now be released in March of 2004? and not November 2003 as first expected.

RBC Capital Markets has issued a research brief in advance of Activision's releasing financial details from its first quarter next Tuesday. One area RBC expresses some concern with is the release of Doom III, in development by id Software. The investment firm, citing the release schedules of various retail website (not the most reliable sources, but semi-useful for informative purposes), as now showing a Doom III release date in March of 2004, as opposed to a previously expected street date of this November:

Personally I wouldn't be surprised. It would be unfortunate... as the graphical edge of D3 is going to be seriously dulled by Christmas with games like DX2 and Theif3 supporting the spiffy texture shadowing method. Doom3 would have done best if it had actually made it out this summer. Because lets face it, the FPS genre has been pretty sad this summer. Few releases that were fun but nothing huge.
