AMD Support now offers new version 11.11c Catalyst performance drivers for AMD/ATI graphics cards. There seems to be just one new item in the patch notes: "Delivers AMD CrossFire performance scaling for the AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series" for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

sucks balls that Crossfire is a totally useless function even with these drivers in skyrim....

doesn't seem to matter if i'm using the 2x 5770's in crossfire or the newer 6790's in crossfire... the drivers and the game..... crossfire just makes it totally unplayable..

get high FPS one second.. and then about 5 seconds of the laggiest/stutterfest resulting in about 1-5fps during that time.. then it flies up to 50-60fps for 1 second.

IF i stand stil.. don't move.... not even an inch.. and stare at one thing...... the fps stablizes...... holds about 45-60FPS..... and i so much as TAP a movement key or move the mouse a hair...... dips to 1-5fps and does the whole stutterfest until it stablizes again.

You know feeling like EVERYTHING is loading still when you first jump in a game..... like UT2007/UT3... you start the level.. and you look around and the game stutters as it loads textures and crap..... but as soon as it's done dynamically loading.... it all smooths out.. and the framerate is perfect?.... well it's like that.... but it's like it just keeps loading and loading and loading and nothing is gett better.... and it's just terrible.

I'd rather have 15fps SOLID rather than 60fps occasionally with sub 10fps most of the time.
