Motorola Mobility says about 100 Xoom tablet computers that it refurbished for sale on Woot.com may not have been properly wiped of the previous owners' data.

People should really learn to wipe their own drive before handing it back in

Purchased a 2nd hand Samsung Tab on amazon last year and teh drive was clean the SD card that had been left in it though was full off the usual crap vids songs naked pics letters documents etc

people are getting lazy with stuff like this

As much as they should be wiping them, I agree with Mr cairo, you wouldn't catch me sending in a tablet/phone/drive with anything I didn't want on there!

True, but if it's being sent back totally non functional, that would be quite hard for many people to do.

I bought a phone of eBay a couple of years ago and it had photos & videos of the previous owner's girlfriend on the memory card. As well as texts, emails etc. I had to thoroughly disinfect the device myself. Jeez she was a mutt

So yeah, if I ever sell any device that has the ability to hold information it gets completely wiped before it leaves my hands.
