Kyle @ HardOCP on Nvidia

The following is an extract from an editorial which was posted by Kyle at HardOCP earlier today. It makes for excellent reading and asks the questions of Nvidia many should be asking.

It will be interesting to see how Nvidia choose to respond...if they do at all...

NOTE: I'd also like to congratulate Kyle on making this statement and i hope he gets the answers he is looking for.

"I am sorry, but I have now had enough. NVIDIA needs to fess up to their actions publicly. NVIDIA needs to apologize for their actions publicly. NVIDIA needs to spell out the corrections they are going to make publicly. NVIDIA needs to make the community aware of the optimizations they will make that affect benchmark scores in games and synthetics. NVIDIA needs to treat the community with the respect they deserve. If they do not, the enthusiast community needs to go spend their money with the competition and urge all the people that ask them for buying advice to do the same. "

WaltC is on a distinguished road

I am very pleased that frgmstr has had an epiphany and now understands that nVidia has never done more than string him along for the past nine months. I think quite frankly that he's had enough of being led around by the nose, being used, and that he quite rightly has reached the conclusion that nVidia PR's been making a fool out of him and he's not too happy about it. And at last he seems to clearly understand that nVidia hasn't been "listening" to [H] at all, about anything, but formulates its own agendas internally. Kyle's value to nVidia is only to the degree that Kyle listens to them and publishes articles based on the premises they feed him. He seems to be fully and irrevocably aware of this now.

My only regret, and it's one I'm sure Kyle now shares, is simply that it took him so long to see it.

And here too!

I just have been a bit slow making the rounds this morning, kids. It's a good thing, if it's a real thing....I still have a few paranoid reservations that Kyle is just setting the stage for nV to come out and "see the light thanks to Kyle" and to publically declare a new commitment to the "community"...which in turn will just be [H] again. But we'll see what we will see, let's hear from nVidia on this one.
