AMREL ROCKY Notebook

AMREL Corporation’s ROCKY Patriot I fully rugged notebook computer recently demonstrated its ability to operate in fuel-air explosive atmospheres without causing ignition, according to an independent laboratory’s test report.

Consolidated Laboratories Inc. tested the ROCKY Patriot I following MIL-STD 810F, Method 511.4, Procedure I. The ROCKY’s successful performance in this test confirms its ability to be used safely in and around special equipment that may produce fuel-air explosive atmospheres, such as military aircraft. The ability to meet Method 511.4 of the MIL-STD 810F standards was extremely important to the Airforce’s COLT (Common Organizational Level Tester) Program; passing this test allowed the ROCKY Patriot I to join AMREL’s power products as qualified sources for the COLT Flight-Line Tester Retro-fit Program.

“We are proud to add the explosive atmosphere test to the long list of stringent military standard tests successfully performed on the ROCKY line of fully rugged computers,” said Tom Lewis, Director of Sales for AMREL’s FCG. “We consider testing a top priority because it supports our dedication to quality products and product safety.”

Headquartered in Arcadia, California, AMREL Corporation is comprised of three divisions, American Reliance, AMREL Systems, and AMREL Telecom- each of which is dedicated to the design, development and manufacturing of specialized solutions within their respective markets.
