Elitegroup Computer Systems company seems to have made the decision in regards graphics processors supplier for its upcoming graphics cards. Taiwanese web-site DigiTimes said today that ECS will soon start to manufacture ATI RADEON-based graphics cards.

Late last year we reported that ECS was in process of making decision whether to make ATI or NVIDIA powered products, now unofficial sources claim that the decision has been made and the company would soon launch the actual devices. According to the reports, one of the world’s largest manufacturer of computer components will start to supply its higher-end graphics cards later this quarter.

It is expected that ECS will make the full range of Powered by ATI products, including entry-level and high-end solutions. This will indisputably raise the margins of the company traditionally focused on price-conscious markets, but will obviously put more pressure on other AIB partners of ATI Technologies.

There is currently no information about markets ECS planning to sell its new graphics products into, but so far ECS has been rather popular in Asia, Eastern Europe and the Russian Federation. We may suppose that companies like PowerColor, Sapphire and Gigabyte will experience price pressure from ECS since significant part of their production is targeted into the same regions.
