maybe this writer has special features but i believe Plextor introduced a 8x DVD writer

ok, dvd-rw is at 2x speed but for the rest it's the same and faster

I wonder if they can ever get to cd speeds, , like 32 R and 16 RW. Anyway, hope people decide on universal +/- soon, gets annoying trying to get specific type.
