Just got word that new kids on the block Digital Synapses have thrown up a guide that will show you how to trick your Radeon 9800 Non Pro into thinking it's a Radeon 9800 Pro by a Bios flash! Here's a rip.
ATI's Radeon 9800 Non Pro is nothing more than a lower clocked 9800Pro. The 9800 Non Pro does however feature slower memory chips than the 9800Pro, but with a little luck you can easily overclock the memory to 9800Pro clocks.
Today we are going to walk through how to flash your BIOS with the 9800Pro BIOS. Flashing the BIOS will result in windows detecting your card as a 9800Pro, and it will have the very same clock speeds.
